I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
