Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the offseason of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the initial important honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England skipper has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would definitely think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had eluded him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
